When:
Thursday, September 18, 2014 - 7:00pm
Where:
Priory Auditorium - 7200 West Division Street - River Forest IL
Description:

In the Old Testament, God’s violence against Israel’s enemies was a way to show God’s love for his people, but God’s violence was also directed against Israel itself who was cast in the role of an unfaithful wife. How do we deal with the violence of God, especially as it is directed against women?

Ultimately aiming to lay the groundwork for a more peaceful and nonviolent society, the Albertus Magnus Society will explore the biblical roots of violence and peace, and examine issues surrounding human freedom, responsibility and capacities.
