Traditions Series

A Grammy-winning virtuoso who drives the banjo from folk to funky.  A one-time-only ensemble that resurrects the Grateful Dead at their most political and profound. These visionary artists, inheritors of our musical history and creators of its irresistible future, make the roots of our national culture bloom again.

Chamber Music Series

Three dudes who flaunt a reckless repertoire and outsized personalities. A string quartet that mixes its music with high-energy drumline maneuvers. Four brave young artists tackling every single string quartet that Beethoven’s genius could devise. These artists bring the spark of courage, invention and extreme pleasure to chamber music that kicks stuffy conventions to the curb.

Theatre Arts Lab Series

A backstage farce of finely choreographed slamming doors, falling trousers and flying sardines. A musical for everyone who deserves a raise—from the composer of Wicked. A classic American drama, ripe with Southern Gothic intrigue. These productions will capture the joy, the nobility and the passion that define the human experience.
