DUPAC Presents "Our Town"
"Our Town," by Thorton Wilder, received the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The timeless drama of life in the mythical village of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, has become an American classic with universal appeal.
The play explores the relationship between two young neighbors, George Gibbs and Emily Webb, whose childhood friendship blossoms into romance, and then culminates in marriage. When Emily looses her life in childbirth, the circle of life portrayed in each of the three acts—growing up, adulthood and death—is fully realized.
Charming in its simplicity, and disarmingly powerful, "Our Town" is a poignant and captivating exploration of mortality and the interconnectivity of human beings.
Three performances will be held:
- November 14 at 7:30 p.m.
- November 15 at 7:30 p.m.
- November 16 at 3 p.m.
