Dominican University presents screening of "The Calling"


Dominican University will present a screening of the film The Calling followed by a question and answer session with the director, David Ranghelli, on Monday, March 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Springer Suites, Crown Library, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.

The Calling is an award-winning documentary that follows three members of a newly formed Catholic community that aids the poor in Lima, Peru. The film provides a unique glimpse into the nature of belief and the bonds of family. The Calling is a film about hard choices and having the faith to make them, delving into the fundamental and enduring questions that provide meaning and value to our lives.

The Calling is the winner of the Best International Documentary award at the Queens International Film Festival, and an official selection of the 29th Breckenridge Festival of Film, the 2010 Gasparilla International Film Festival, and the 26th Chicago Latino Film Festival.
