Dominican has strong showing at Frank Lloyd Wright Races

Former Dominican University Board of Trustees Chairperson Mary Callow and President Donna Carroll led a pack of 95 participants from the Dominican community in the annual Frank Lloyd Wright Races October 23.
Dominican fielded a team of 95 runners and walkers for this year’s Frank Lloyd Wright Race on Sunday, October 23.

The Oak Park race, which Dominican has sponsored for the past seven years, attracted a record 2,700 participants.

Dominican had a number of runners who finished at the top of their respective age groups, including, in the 5K Run, Katie Kacic, who placed second, and Jennifer Monson, who placed third, in the 20 to 24-year-old category; Mary Sadofsky, who placed second in the 25 to 29-year-old category ; Edgar Nieto, who placed third, and David Kucher, who placed fourth, in the 20 to 24-year-old category; and Dick Walstra, who came in first in the 55 to 59-year-old category.

In the 10K Run, Megan Vaccaro came in first in the 20 to 24-year-old category, and Bradley Dsida came in first in the 20 to 24-year-old category.
