President Carroll Named to Crain’s Who’s Who


Dominican University President Donna M. Carroll has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2012 Who’s Who in Business List.

Carroll was included as one of 31 Chicago area leaders in the field of education. Other designees included the presidents of Northwestern University, DePaul University and the University of Chicago.

The annual Who’s Who in Business List includes some of the Chicago area’s most influential leaders in such fields as banking, construction services, cultural institutions, financial services, government, health care and manufacturing as well as education.

Carroll has served as president of Dominican University for 18 years. During her tenure, she has overseen the university’s name change from Rosary College and managed the purchase of a second campus.

Since 1994, the university’s enrollment has doubled and the operating budget has tripled. Carroll also has administered over $75 million in capital improvements to the campus.

Carroll is a member of the Chicago Network, the Economic Club, and the Associate Colleges of Illinois. She is also on the boards of Rush Oak Park Hospital, Oak Park Development Corporation, Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools and the Abraham Lincoln President Library and Museum.
