Ring in the Holiday Season with the Dominican University Kids and Sibs and Parents Too Weekend
Join us for a festive holiday weekend! On December 5 – 6, Dominican University will be celebrating the holiday season by inviting current students to bring their younger family members and their parents to some wonderful campus events.
The weekend will kick off with a large Children’s Christmas party on Saturday, December 5 from 12:30p.m. to 2:30p.m. Younger family members (ages 5 – 8) can enjoy crafts, games and story telling. Older children (ages 8 -11) can enjoy carnival games, inflatable games and sport games and demonstrations. There will even be family photos with Santa! The cost per person is $5.00 with a family rate of $20 for families of four or more.
Following the Christmas Party, join us for a special holiday performance presented by the Dominican University Performing Arts Center at 3:00p.m. The show, Free to Be You and Me is an imaginative blend of music and humor that expands children’s personal horizons, enabling them to invent their own futures without limitations, while dispelling some old constraints and worn-out conventions in the process. Parents, teachers, and other grown-up friends will delight in sharing this extraordinary and memorable experience with the children in their lives.
Join us for a very special Advent program that explores the true meaning of Christmas. The Siena Center presents It’s a Wonderful Village: Bedford Falls As the Promised Land. View the Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life, and explore its meaning in a fresh and challenging way with Patrick McCormick, S.T.D., teacher of Christian ethics at Gonzaga University and regular columnist for U.S. Catholic magazine.
