Building A Culture of Interfaith Cooperation
In 2010 Dominican University took a landmark step in its commitment to a more just and humane world when it entered into a multi-year partnership with Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC). This partnership, known as a Model Campus Engagement, has the goal of advancing a culture of interfaith cooperation and understanding at Dominican University. DU’s partnership with IFYC is timely and exciting, most especially because it coincides with the launching of President Obama’s Interfaith Community Service Campus Challenge.
Interfaith cooperation is also a high priority for Interfaith Impact, a coalition of Oak Park/River Forest residents and students, faculty, and staff of neighboring Concordia and Dominican Universities. Sparked and led by One Chicago One Nation ambassador and River Forest community organizer, Susan Lucci, Interfaith Impact seeks to bridge diverse beliefs and inspirations through common social action.
This web resource serves as a communication and organizing tool for all interfaith efforts of both Dominican University and Interfaith Impact.
