Senior Class Legacy
What is the Senior Class Gift, really?
The Senior Class Gift is a tradition where graduating seniors give a donation to their soon-to-be alma mater, Dominican University. These gifts are collected and presented to President Donna Carroll during Candle & Rose. The Senior Class Gift goes toward the Annual Fund, which supports:
- Scholarships
- Study abroad
- Athletics
- Student activities
- And so much more!
Why should I give?
Donations given by alumnae/i, parents, faculty, staff, and friends have supported your time at Dominican. By making your Senior Class Gift donation, you can help assure that other Dominican students get to have the same wonderful opportunities that you received.
How much do I need to give?
Any amount can make a big difference! This year, we are asking seniors to give $20.11 in honor of your class year, but any amount is welcomed! We encourage students to give what they can. Gifts can even be made in smaller installments, and can be made to honor your favorite DU professors, staff, coaches, and even friends!
What else do I need to know?
- Check back here soon to see your name and the name of the person you are honoring.
-
Make your donation before April 15th and you'll be listed in the Candle & Rose program.
-
Make your donation before May 1st and you'll be listed at the Candle & Rose reception.
-
Don't forget to RSVP for Senior Send Off!
Questions? Contact Joanne Eberwein at (708) 524-6309 or jeberwein@dom.edu. Class gifts can be dropped off in Power 116.
Already made your gift? Encourage your friends to join you so we can reach our goal of highest participation rates in DU history!

Congratulations, Class of 2011! Thank you for supporting alma mater Dominican.
“Everyone here - teachers and staff - have been so attentive. My financial aid lets me have breathing room. I can focus on my studies without worrying. It keeps me motivated.”
