Get the Scoop

The Alumnae/i Association is collaborating with Career Development to create a new lunch-time program for students of Dominican University called "Get the Scoop!" At each monthly session, students will bring their own lunches, and DU will serve ice cream and beverages.  We want these sessions to inform students of the opportunities they can pursue with a DU degree and to discuss hot topics that students should learn about before they graduate. The sessions we currently have booked are below:

Sept. 24 – Traditional and Off-the-Beaten Path Careers in Healthcare and Law, in the Springer Suites
Oct. 14 – The Entrepreneurial Spirit, in the Springer Suites
Nov. 17 – Making Food Your Profession: Opportunities in Food and Nutrition in Library 002

Each session runs during the lunch time hour of noon - 1 p.m., though we are considering holding evening programs as well if students are interested.

Please email Ashley Sinclair at asinclair@dom.edu if you are interested in participating.  We’d love to hear about careers you’d want to learn about, times that work for your schedule, and anything else you’d want to share with us!

“My decisions at work are constantly informed by what I learned in my MBA courses at Dominican. The curriculum and the faculty have made a lasting contribution to my professional expertise. In my competitive work environment, I feel well prepared.”
