Honors Program
Dominican University’s Honors Program provides motivated and talented students with special opportunities for study and research. Students who qualify for the Presidential and Dean’s Scholarships are invited to participate in the Honors Program.
Participation in the Honors Program offers a number of special opportunities and advantages, including- Distinctive honors seminars with challenging topics taught by outstanding faculty. The current
seminars are:
Freshman Honors Seminar: Thoughts and Passions
Sophomore Honors Seminar: Human Being and Citizen
Junior Honors Seminar: Human Being and Natural Being
Senior Honors Seminar: Wisdom and Power - Study with internationally recognized scholars who hold the Lund-Gill Chair
- Participation in the Honors Cultural Chicago Council
- Enrollment in special honors sections of courses
- Course intensification options
- Enhanced language study
- The opportunity to do a major project and presentation to the university community
- BA or BS degree with university honors and/or departmental honors.
