Jay Miller, MSW 2007

As a social worker, my passion is social justice and advocating to improve the lives of the most vulnerable. I received my MSW from Dominican University in 2007. I won't say the program was easy, but I will say I had wonderful instruction and support to help me succeed. Only months after graduating, without preparation, I passed the LSW exam which is a testament to the quality of my education at Dominican. I continue to work in case management for the elderly on Chicago's west side which is in line with my values. I take action through NASW policy e-mails to politicians and I return to Dominican whenever I can to enjoy their events and opportunities for professional development and CEU's. I am proud to have begun my journey as a social worker at Dominican University.
