Bio

Elizabeth Sweeny Block, Ph.D. (cand) is finishing her doctoral dissertation in Religious Ethics at the University of Chicago entitled, “The Virtue of Conscience: Reclaiming the Significance of Freedom of Conscience for the Formation of Moral Identity.” She earned a Master of Theological Studies from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Psychology from Georgetown University. Her research interests include twentieth century Roman Catholic moral theology, conscience, and the development and integration of moral identity.

Bio

Anthony Suárez-Abraham (cand) is a Cuban-American from Miami, Florida. He is a doctoral candidate in Systematic Theology at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, completing his dissertation on latitudinal eschatologies under the direction of Brazilian theologian, Vítor Westhelle, Ph.D. He is a Lecturer at the Catholic Theological Union. In addition to his appointment to the Advisory Board of the Sienna Center at Dominican University, he is on the Board of Directors of L'ARCHE Chicago.

Bio

Clodagh Weldon, originally from Blackpool in the north of England, earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in theology at the University of Oxford, and has been at Dominican since 2000. She is the recipient of Dominican University’s 2005 Mother Evelyn Murphy Excellence in Teaching Award, and is featured as a case study of highly effective undergraduate teaching in Barbara Walvoord’s Teaching and Learning in College Introductory Religion Courses (Blackwell, 2008). She has taught in many programs for the Archdiocese of Chicago, including the Chicago Catholic Scripture School and Essential Catholicism for Thinking Adults and serves on the School Advisory Council at St. Alexander School in Palos Heights. Weldon is the author of Fr. Victor White OP: The Story of Jung’s White Raven (University of Scranton Press, 2007) and co-editor of Teaching Jung (Oxford University Press, 2011). She was a Visiting Research Scholar at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford in 2010.
