The Performing Arts Center will present "Erasing the Distance: The Dominican University Chapter," an original production that consists of 10 true Dominican University stories about mental illness, on December 3 and 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the Eloise Martin Recital Hall. 1st Annual Student Ethics Bowl (2:11)

Dominican University hosted the first annual student Ethics Bowl on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Four teams of students faced off and debated the ethical issues involved in different cases. The winning team from the Dominican competition will move on to the regional Ethics Bowl on Saturday, November 15. Watch this video to learn more about the Ethics Bowl and view some highlights from the competition.

Preview of Fall Musical: "Into the Woods" (3:03)

Dominican University's Theatre Arts Lab Series will present "Into the Woods," a hilarious mixture of Brothers Grimm fairy tales and a Broadway musical. In this video preview, get a sneak peak of the production and a backstage look at the sets and costumes. "Into the Woods" will be held in the Lund Auditorium on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 16 at 3:00 p.m. Call the box office at (708) 488-5000 for tickets.

In this video excerpt from an October 21 panel discussion, Stephen Kinzer, Chris Hedges and Tom Hundley talk about the changing role of foreign news reporting. Kinzer, Dominican's 2008 Lund-Gill Chair, is an award-winning foreign correspondent. Hedges was a war reporter for the New York Times and has written several books about his experiences. Hundley was a foreign correspondent for the Chicago Tribune and now writes for the Chicago Tribune Magazine.

In this excerpt from his lecture on September 18, 2008, foreign-correspondent Stephen Kinzer discusses the development of modern Turkey under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first prime minister of the Republic of Turkey. Kinzer goes on to discuss the current prime minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is continuing the reforms of Ataturk while remaining a devout Muslim.
