The Performing Arts Center will present Macbeth, one of Shakespeare’s most highly acclaimed tragedies, November 13-15 in the Lund Auditorium. Friday and Saturday night performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; the Sunday performance begins at 3:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $15. Students organize benefit for shelter in Kenya (3:20)
Senior honors students at Dominican University have organized a benefit for Heshima House, a safe house for refugee girls in Nairobi, Kenya. The benefit will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parmer Hall Atrium. The students sent digital cameras to the girls in Kenya to have them document their daily lives. The girls' photographs will be on display, and the co-founder of Heshima House, Anne Sweeney, will speak about the program.

Digital collection of Civil War letters (5:12)
A digital collection of Civil War letters, documents and other materials is now available through the Dominican University library. The Noah Hart Papers consist of correspondence from Captain Noah Hart to his wife Emily Julia Peck Hart. The collection was donated in 1967 by Annia Keating Hart, a 1927 graduate of Rosary College and the wife of Noah Hart’s grandson. Watch this video to see the letters and photos up close and to hear excerpts from the letters read by Matt Gibson, class of 2010. Click here to look through the entire collection.

Highlights from Frank Lloyd Wright Races (2:05)
Dominican University again served as a primary sponsor for the Park District of Oak Park's annual Frank Lloyd Wright Races on Sunday, October 25. Over 80 Dominican University faculty, staff, students, and alumni walked or ran in the races.

Tim Lazicki conducts research at Alexian Brothers Medical Center (3:29)
Dominican University Junior Tim Lazicki has been conducting neuroscience research at Alexian Brothers Medical Center since January 2009, working alongside Dr. Jeffrey Lewine. Several of his research projects have focused on the neural mechanisms of autism, and he received a W. Joseph Gartner Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 from ARRISE Centers, Inc. for his autism research.

Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program (3:15)
Through Dominican University's Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program, students receive a $2,000 stipend and are supported by a faculty mentor as they complete an independent research project or creative investigation over the summer. McGreal Center for Dominican Historical Studies (4:12)
The McGreal Center for Dominican Historical Studies was established for the collaborative research and writing of the history of the Dominican order in the United States. The center, under the direction of Sister Janet Welsh, OP, is located in the Albertus Magnus building at Dominican University.

Delta Blues Experiential Learning Trip (4:40)
In this experiential course, "The Racial and Musical Legacy of Memphis and the Mississippi Delta," students explore the Southern roots of American music and its relationship to the Civil Rights Movement. During a five-day trip, students travel to significant historical locations in Memphis and the Mississippi delta.

SURE: Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (2:58)
Dominican hosted the second Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program May 18-22. Students from local community colleges got hands-on experience doing research projects in the life sciences with faculty from Dominican and community colleges.
