Macbeth gets a modern spin in DU's productionPioneer Press, November 5, 2009
The Performing Arts Center will present
Macbeth, one of Shakespeare’s most highly acclaimed tragedies, November 13-15 in the Lund
Auditorium. Friday and Saturday night performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; the Sunday performance

Iraqi student finds a home at DominicanTriblocal, October 22, 2009
Ali Falah, a young Iraqi refugee, is now attending Dominican University through the Iraqi
Student Project. Falah's family had to flee to Jordan because of the war in Iraq, and he was not
able to complete his education.
Students go to Springfield to support MAP grantsWednesday Journal, October 20, 2009Eighty Dominican University students traveled to Springfield, IL, to participate in a rally
outside the capital building to support the Illinois Monetary Assistance Program (MAP). Gov. Pat
Quinn signed a bill on October 15 to reinstate the MAP program, which helps hundreds of students at
Dominican pay for tuition.
Janice Del Negro profiled in Oak Park 365Pioneer Press, October 8, 2009
Janice Del Negro, a library science professor and an award-winning storyteller, was profiled in
Oak Park 365, a daily feature about the people and events in the local community. Del Negro
presented a dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" in Dominican's anatomy lab
on October 7.
Cistern saves Dominican gallons of waterTriblocal, September 30, 2009
A long-forgotten cistern in the basement of the East Science Building now provides enough water
to irrigate the campus, saving around 4-6 million gallons of water annually.

Senior honors students at Dominican University have organized a benefit for Heshima House, a safe house for refugee girls in Nairobi, Kenya. The benefit will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parmer Hall Atrium.
