Sister Marcella Hermesdorf, OP, Assistant Professor of English and Chair of the English Department presented a paper entitled, "The Religious 'Selves' of Hannah More: A Study of her Letters," at the meeting of the Midwest American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies held in St. Louis, MO, Oct. 7-10, 2004.

Sister Marcella Hermesdorf, OP, Chair of the English Department, attended the Annual Meeting of the Johnson Society of the Central Region at Northwestern University, May 14 and 15.

She also attended a workshop for Department and Division Chairs sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges in Richmond, VA, May 25-27.

Published “Hannah More and Dominican Values” in New Blackfriars: A Monthly Review, in December 2003.

Attended the 17th Annual DeBartolo Conference on 18th Century Studies held at the University of South Florida, Tampa, in February. The topic of the conference was "The History of Manners." She also attended a conference on the Samuel Johnson Society of the Central Region held in Madison, WI in March. In addition, Sr. Marci submitted a contribution to the booklet of Lenten Reflections for St. Francis Xavier Parish in LaGrange, IL.
