associate professor of finance and economics, has been awarded tenure. Drougas was recently appointed as a biographical candidate for the Empire Who’s Who of Women Education (2005/2006 Honors Edition). She was also nominated for inclusion in the 9 th Edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (2004-2005). In April 2005, the second edition of Professor Drougas’ Technology Manual for Statistics (Prentice Hall/Pearson Publishers) was released. Along with Professor Arvid Johnson,Drougas presented an invited research abstract at the annual meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute in Boston, MA titled “Illustrating Type I and Type II Errors Via Spreadsheet Simulation in the Business Statistics Course .” The talk was based on an article they had published in the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education. Drougas is a member of the board of directors for the Academy of Business Education and is a reviewer for the Journal of the Academy of Business Education as well as the Journal of Financial Education.

published "Capitalizing On Human Capital: Developing a Faculty Driven Model of Assessment" in The Journal of The Academy of Business Education and presented a paper titled "A Faculty Driven Model of Assessment: Comparing Adjunct and Full-Time Faculty" at the annual meeting of the National Business and Economic Society in March. Drougas also published "Monopsony Power and the Market For Clergy: Some Evidence From the Census" in the December issue of the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and gave a talk to the Chicago Catholic University Club titled "The Decline in Catholic Vocations: A New Perspective" in February.“As a student I wanted an intimate community. As an aspiring journalist I wanted a big city. Dominican gave me both—and so much more.”
