Bill Crowley, professor, GSLIS, was the keynote speaker at the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System’s Back to the Book VII conference held in Twinsburg, OH in October. Crowley’s presentation was titled “Readers Advisory and the Future of Libraries and Reading.” Crowley also presented “Don’t let Google and the Pennypinchers Get You Down: Defending (or Redefining) Libraries and Librarianship in the Age of Technology” at the Illinois Library Association 2006 Annual Conference held at Chicago’s Navy Pier in October.

Bill Crowley, professor, GSLIS, published "Suicide Prevention: Safeguarding the Future of the Professional Librarian" in Library Administration and Management, Spring 2006. This article is based on a presentation he delivered at the 2004 Ohio Library Council Annual Conference in Cincinnati.
