Calabrese and Betsy Holli, professor of human resources and nutrition sciences, are celebrating the 2003 publication of the fourth edition of their textbook, Communication and Education Skills for Dietetics Professionals. Long an influence on patient/client education, the book was expanded and updated by Holli and Calabrese with the addition of Julie O’Sullivan Maillet, past president of the American Dietetic Association. The purpose of the book is to prepare dietetics professionals with the skills they need to improve their communication with patients, clients, employees and others.
