DU Presents “Raw Bones and Other Stories” Dance Concert
Dominican University presents
Raw Bones and Other Stories, a captivating collection of theatrical dance works performed
by more than 30 artists, on Friday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. in
Lund Auditorium, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.
A look at relationships through the universal language of movement, the dance concert is
produced by Dominican University theatre arts adjunct faculty member and Emmy Award-nominated
director/choreographer Julie Petry. Petry has choreographed and directed productions for PBS-TV,
Metropolis Performing Arts Center, Dance Chicago and Around the Coyote Festival. She is a
performing member of Lira Dance Ensemble and the AMEBA Acrobatic & Aerial Dance Company. She
was a semi-finalist for New York’s DanceBreak in 2003 and 2004 and was named to the Best of New
Work series by John Schmidtz, curator of Dance Chicago.
“Raw Bones and Other Stories” features choreography and performances by Petry, The Dominican
University Dance Club, AMEBA Acrobatic & Aerial Dance Company, Same Planet Different World
Dance Theatre, members of The Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, former Alvin Ailey 2 company dancer Ray
Tadio and members of Rasa Dance Chicago.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Student tickets are $5. The show is
