Dominican University’s Brennan School Presents Lecture on Career Change
Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business presents a lecture on career change on
Monday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. in Bluhm Lecture Hall in Parmer Hall, 7900 W. Division Street, River
Forest. The lecture, titled “Understanding What Your Career is in Today’s Corporate Environment,”
will be presented by human resources practitioner Paul Schneider, a founding partner in SSP BPI
Group, an outplacement and executive coaching firm.
With today’s economic uncertainties, technological developments and new attitudes toward work,
career change—whether by choice or necessity—is increasingly common. Schneider, who works with
individuals in transition to help them assess their skills and marketability, will discuss the
problems and opportunities involved in changing careers.
Schneider has over 25 years of human resources professional experience in a variety of
industries, from plant level to corporate headquarters. Before founding SSP, he was vice
president-human resources for Griffith Laboratories and held the senior-level human resources
position for U.S. Gypsum. He holds a master’s degree from Loyola University’s Institute of Human
Resources and Industrial Relations.
The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, please call (708)
524-6810.
