DU Ecology Club Presents the Global Warming Café
Dominican University’s student Ecology Club will present a Global Warming Café, an interactive
workshop on global climate change, on February 28 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Parmer Hall Atrium,
7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.
Speakers will offer short presentations on a variety of topics, including how small individual
lifestyle changes can make a real difference and how the connection between attitudes and behaviors
applies to changing how people respond to the environment. Among the speakers will be Ecology Club
secretary Elena Maans, Dr. Dan Beach, professor of psychology, and Dr. John Tandarich, adjunct
assistant professor of environmental science.
Each presentation will be followed by round-table, small group discussions. Participants are
invited to enjoy coffee and dessert while discussing global warming and climate change.
The Global Warming Café is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Elena
Maans at (708) 524-6081 or at ecoclub@dom.edu.
