Men's Soccer Gets Shutout Victory over North Park
The Dominican University men’s soccer team traveled to North Park University, ranked 12th in
the nation by D3Kicks.com, with a five-game winning streak on the line and emerged victorious
thanks to a second half goal by junior

Kochanowski’s goal came unassisted in the 71st minute and proved to be the game-winner as the
Stars’ defense kept the Vikings off the scoreboard for the team’s fourth shutout of the
season.
Junior goalkeeper
Piotr Sliwa (Chicago,
IL) picked up his third shutout victory of the season, logging five saves in the winning
effort.
The Stars then logged a 5-0 win over Lakeland College in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC)
play on Saturday. The win kept the Stars perfect in the NAC, improving to 3-0-0 in the conference
with three shutout victories. Junior Zlatan Hodzic (Chicago, IL) scored what proved to be the
game-winning goal in the 33
rd minute. The goal was Hodzic’s first of the season and his first career college
game-winning goal.
Four other players netted goals for the Stars on the day with
Nick Wisniewski
(Carol Stream, IL),
Stan Micic (Mt.
Prospect, IL) and Nico Toro (St. Louis, MO) each logging their second goals of the season while
Kochanowski scored his team-leading tenth goal of the season to round out the Stars’ offense.
In three conferences matches this season, the Stars have yet to surrender a goal and have
outscored their opponents by a combined score of 18-0 in 270 minutes of play. Sliwa has logged two
shutouts and combined for a third shutout, recording eight saves in 237 minutes in goal.
