Dominican University’s women’s soccer team outscored its two Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) opponents by a combined score of 14-0 last week, beating Concordia University Chicago 8-0 last Wednesday and Marian College 6-0 on Saturday.

Junior Mayra Camacho (Summit, IL) and freshman Michelle Reynoso (Burbank, IL) each logged a pair of hat tricks, scoring 12 of the Stars’ 14 goals last week. The pair combined for all six of the Stars’ goals against Marian and six of the Stars’ eight goals in the win over Concordia Chicago. Camacho also tallied four assists on the week for a total of 16 points in the two games.

On the week, Dominican outshot its opponents by a combined total of 47-8 in the two games and held a 16-5 advantage in corner kicks for the week.

The pair of victories improved the Stars’ overall record to 2-3-0 and 2-0-0 in NAC play. Dominican returns to action on Tuesday night, traveling to Benedictine University for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The Stars then travel to Lakeland College on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

“As a student I wanted an intimate community. As an aspiring journalist I wanted a big city. Dominican gave me both—and so much more.”
