Grease is the story of Danny Zuko, played by John Travolta, and Sandy Olsson, played by
Olivia Newton-John, and the brief summer romance they share before Sandy has to return to Australia
with her parents. However, when her parents’ plans fall through and Sandy moves to the United
States, she unknowingly attends the same high school as Danny. Danny, the leader of the T-birds, a
guy gang at Rydell High School, thinks he can’t be with a goody-two-shoes like Sandy, until they
both begin to realize their summer romance was just the beginning of the “real thing.”
