Women’s Basketball Coach resigns from DU

Ana Litton has resigned from her position as the assistant facilities manager and head women’s basketball coach at Dominican University effective Tuesday, March 27, 2007.

In her first season as the head coach of the Stars’ women’s basketball program, Litton guided the team to a 3-22 overall record and an 11th place finish in the inaugural season of the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC).

“This wasn’t an easy decision for me,” said Litton, “but I think it is best for both the program and me professionally to go in a different direction at this time. I wish the team nothing but the best in the future.”

The Dominican University Department of Athletics and Recreation is beginning a search for Litton’s replacement immediately.
