Men’s basketball falls to MSOE
The Dominican University men’s basketball team’s record fell to 1-2 with a 70-57 overtime loss to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) Raiders.
The Stars trailed by as many as 10 points during the first half but chipped away at the Raiders’ lead throughout the second half, eventually knotting the game at 56-56 on a three-point field goal by junior Ivano Clay (Chicago, IL) with just 40 seconds remaining in regulation. However, the Raiders outscored the Stars 14-1 in overtime to pull out the win.
Freshman Matt Stahl (Manitowoc, WI) paced the Stars’ offense with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field, including a 4-for-9 performance from behind the three-point arc. Clay and senior Binyamin Jones (Chicago, IL) chipped in 12 points apiece in the losing effort.
The Stars return to action on Wednesday, November 29 as they host Edgewood College in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) action.
