Anthony Chimera appointed to Development Office
Dominican University has appointed Anthony Chimera, a resident of Oak Forest, as executive director of development. Chimera comes to Dominican from De La Salle Institute, a Catholic college preparatory high school in Chicago, where he served as vice president for institutional advancement since 1997. He was affiliated with the high school since 1990.
A graduate of De La Salle Institute, Chimera received his bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s degree in business administration from Dominican University. During his tenure at De La Salle Institute, Chimera served as director of alumni and parent relations and director of development before being promoted to vice president for institutional advancement. In addition, he is a senior fundraising and marketing consultant for ACConsulting in Chicago.
Chimera is a member of the board of directors of St. Damian Catholic School in Oak Forest and serves as head coach for the Orland Sparks Travelers 10U baseball team and assistant coach for the Oak Forest girls travel softball program. He and his wife, Sheryl, live in Oak Forest with their three children.
