DU baseball to provide webcast of game at MSOE
The Dominican University baseball team has reached an agreement with AmeriSports Media, Inc. to broadcast the Stars’ game at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Thursday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m.
The Stars, in the hunt for their first-ever trip to the Lake Michigan Conference (LMC) tournament, need to finish in the top four in the conference to qualify for the conference tournament. They are currently tied for third place with the MSOE Raiders and are just two games behind Edgewood College, the conference front-runner.
“This is an exciting time of the year,” said Terry Casey, the Stars’ head coach. “Last year we set the single-season win mark and had our first winning season in the program’s history. After a shaky start, we have battled back and are looking to set the bar even higher this year.”& amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; lt; /p>
Casey’s Stars briefly claimed the top spot in the conference after winning eight of their first ten LMC games, but have since dropped four of their last five conference games and are looking to get back on track.
The Stars will send junior right-hander Bret Dvorak (Elmwood Park, IL) to the mound in game one of the three-game series. Dvorak, the Stars’ most consistent pitcher on the year, boasts a 1.26 earned-run-average, ranking him 15th in the nation amongst NCAA Division III pitchers with at least 30 innings pitched.
