DU Presents "The Leadership Lessons of Motherhood"
Dominican University’s School of Business will present a lecture by author Moe Grzelakowski on “ The Leadership Lessons of Motherhood” on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the university’s Social Hall, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.
Moe Grzelakowski is an entrepreneur, senior advisor at Investor Growth Capitol and the author of Mother Leads Best: 50 Women Who Are Changing the Way Organizations Do Business. Grzelakowski was the first woman to hold senior level executive positions at Fortune 500 companies Motorola, Dell and AT&T Bell Labs. She is the recipient of Mayor Daley’s Chicago Fellows Award and AT& T’s Catherine B. Celary Award and serves on the boards of Northwestern University and the Infant Welfare Society. In addition, she is the owner of the Oak Hills County Club.
Grzelakowski interviewed 50 women who have successfully juggled challenging executive careers and motherhood. In her book, Grzelakowski maintains that raising children has a positive impact on female executives’ leadership styles, making them better managers, more flexible, less in need of control and more empathetic to employees.
Admission to this lecture is free. For more information, please call Dominican University’s School of Business at (708) 524-6810.
