Women's basketball drops back-to-back games
The Dominican University women’s basketball program dropped back-to-back Lake Michigan Conference (LMC) games last week to fall to 2-3 in the conference.
On Wednesday, the Stars trailed Lakeland College, 26-14, after the first half but outscored the Muskies by six points in the second half to fall 45-39 to the LMC’s first place team. Nicole Zuhlke (Streamwood, IL) paced the Stars’ offense with 13 points while Christine Demogiorgas (Harwood Heights, IL) added 10 points in the losing effort.
On Saturday, the Stars traveled to Concordia University (WI) and fell to the Falcons 69-38. Justine Christian (Cameron, IL) recorded her second double-double of the season with 11 points and 14 rebounds while Wioleta Koziol (Mt. Prospect, IL) poured in 11 points of her own.
The Stars return to action on Wednesday, January 11, as they travel to Marian College for a 7:00 p.m. LMC game and then return home to host Edgewood College for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday, January 14.
