Women's soccer set to host LMC tournament game

The Dominican University women’s soccer team positioned themselves to host a first-round Lake Michigan Conference (LMC) tournament game this coming weekend with a 10-0 win over Alverno College.

Freshman Mayra Camacho ( Summit, IL) set a Dominican University single-game record with six goals in the game. She jumpstarted the Stars nine-goal output in the first half with a sliding goal in the game’s 3 rd minute.

Fellow freshman Jenny Pacheco ( Summit, IL) added three goals and recorded four assists, while Jazmin Contreras ( Chicago, IL) capped off the Stars scoring with a goal of her own.

Earlier in the week, the Stars fell to non-conference opponent North Park University 2-0 on the road.

The split pushed the Stars overall record to 6-9-1 and 4-3-1 in the LMC. They will host Marian College for a first round LMC Tournament match on Saturday, October 29.
