Schaumburg Resident Receives Library Award
Joel Hahn, a resident of Schaumburg, has received the Graduate School of Library and Information Science’s 2005 Helen Cohen Outstanding Student Award. Hahn completed his master’s degree in library information science in May while working full-time as a cataloger in the Niles Public Library District.
Hahn is a member of the American Library Association and the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services. He is an author of print and online publications.
The Helen Cohen Award is presented annually in honor of Dominican University Graduate School of Library and Information Science graduate Helen Cohen to acknowledge students who have displayed initiative and creativity through exemplary coursework and service to fellow students and libraries.
