Stars Heading into Stretch Run

The Dominican University women’s soccer team has just six games remaining on its 2004 campaign and will play half of those games in the coming week, with a road trip to Iowa this weekend to play Upper Iowa University on Saturday and Mount Mercy College on Sunday.

The Stars are winless in their last four contests, including a scoreless tie with Benedictine University on Wednesday and a 4-1 loss to Clarke College on Saturday. The Stars’ lone goal against Clarke, scored by Laura Vogler in her first of the season, snapped a three-game scoreless streak.

The Stars now stand with a 4-7-1 overall record and are 0-2-1 in the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference (NIIC).
