Lecture on Integrating Latin American Issues

Dominican University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, Latin American Studies and The Latino Relations Advisory Council will present a lecture on the importance of integrating Latin American history and issues in elementary and secondary school curricula on Thursday, September 23 at 2:15 p.m. The lecture by Felipe Rodriguez, assistant dean of education at the University of Wisconsin, will be held in Room 002 of the Rebecca Crown Library, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.

Rodriguez will draw upon his extensive background working with Latinos in the Milwaukee area and elsewhere for this program. Following the lecture, Rodriguez will present a mini-concert of Latin American music. The lecture and performance are being held in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
