Dominican University Stars Drop to 1-3
The Dominican University Stars lost a pair of games last week to Loras College and Illinois Institute of Technology to drop their overall record to 1-3.On Tuesday, the Stars lost to a talented Loras College team 62-47 at home. The Stars were led by senior forward Steve Preston (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) who scored 12 points in the losing effort.
The Stars attempted to rebound on Saturday as they traveled to Illinois Institute of Technology. However, shooting troubles plagued the Stars, as they shot just 34.3 percent from the field in a 76-75 loss.
Junior Ocie Peet (Racine, WI/Horlick) did his best to keep the Stars in the game, posting a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Derek Pedersen (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles North) and Eric Dunn (Chicago, IL/Curie) each scored in double-figures with 14 and 12 points respectively in the losing effort.
The Stars return to action this Friday, December 5, as they host Webster University for a 7:30 p.m. game.
