Stars fall to 1-5

The Dominican University Stars dropped two games last week to Webster University on Friday and to the University of Chicago on Saturday.

On Friday, the Stars led Webster by eight points early in the second half, but came up on the losing end of a 64-54 battle. Eric Dunn (Chicago, IL/Curie) paced the Dominican offense with 15 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field in 36 minutes of action.

On Saturday, the Stars traveled to the University of Chicago and returned home with a 66-39 loss. The Stars dug a deep hole in the first half, trailing 27-11 at the break after shooting 5-for-26 from the field. Freshman Derek Pedersen (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles North) led the Stars with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The pair of losses dropped the Stars to 1-5 on the year. They will return to action on Tuesday, December 9, at Judson College.
