Stars Close Season with a Win

The Dominican University women’s soccer team finished the season on a winning note, collecting the team’s eighth victory of the year with a 3-0 victory over North Central College on Thursday night.

Junior Renee Vai (Eagan, MN/Eagan) ended her junior season with a three-goal performance to lift the Stars to victory. Vai has led the Stars in goals from the beginning of the season, ending the year with 33 goals and 5 assists for 71 points in 19 games.

Junior goalkeeper Nicole Miller (Florissant, MO/Incarnate Word) recorded her seventh shutout of the season and racked up nine saves in Thursday’s victory.

The Stars ended the season with an 8-11 overall record, finishing with a 1-4 record in the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference.
