Book Club to Discuss Rosary Graduate's Novel
Luisa Buehler, author of The Rosary Bride: A Cloistered Death, will discuss her book at the July
31 meeting of the Dominican University Book Club. Buehler is a graduate of Rosary College (now
Dominican University).
The Rosary Bride: A Cloistered Death takes place on the campus of Regina College, a small
Catholic women’s college not unlike Rosary College during the early 1970's. Amid rumors of a
beautiful young woman who haunts the campus after her mysterious death 50 years ago, Grace Marsden
determines to discover the truth about her demise. Complications arise when, during the renovation
of the college library, a skeleton is unearthed and the investigating police officer dredges up
decades-old secrets and tales of betrayal.
Grace enlists the aid of a nun who lived at the college in the 1940's and together they try
to unravel mysteries that lead them down the dark corridors and underground tunnels of the college,
all the while stalked by a killer who is determined to keep the past a secret.
Join the Dominican Book Club for a discussion of this murder mystery with author Luisa
Buehler. The discussion will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Room 003 of the Rebecca Crown Library on the
Dominican University campus, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest. For more information, contact
Mary Pat Radke, assistant director of the library, at (708) 524-6870 or mradke@dom.edu.
