By completing the pre-pharmacy program, offered in conjunction with
Midwestern University, students can obtain their doctor of
pharmacy (PharmD) degree in only six years.
Dominican offers the first two years of this program. Upon successful completion of two years
of pre-professional coursework at Dominican, students are admitted into the four-year professional
pharmacy curriculum at Midwestern.
To be considered for admission to the Dual Acceptance Program
(DAP), applicants students must have earned a:
- High school GPA of at least 3.2 out of 4.0
- ACT composite score of 25 or higher (a writing component score must be included) or
- SAT score of 1700 or higher

Note: Upon successful completion of this six-year program, students earn only the
PharmD degree. No undergraduate degree is awarded as part of this program.
Students who wish to obtain a bachelor’s degree may do so at Dominican and then enter a
graduate pharmacy program according to the normal timetable.
