GRAPHIC DESIGN

The major in graphic design is a sequence of courses
that teaches the process of creative problem solving through design. By integrating concept development and artistic practice with technology, students acquire an understanding of the art of visual communication as preparation for professional employment in the field of graphic design or for graduate study.

Classes are held in our professional Digital Media Center. The DMC is equipped with 20” flat-panel Apple Macintosh computers loaded with Adobe CS3 design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Dreamweaver.) The DMC has a tabloid format color laser printer, dedicated flatbed and film scanners and an Epson large-format photo inkjet printer. In addition the university Tech Center is fully equipped with flat-panel Apple Macintosh computers.
