Bill Kerr
Bill is the Director of the Graphic Design Discipline
at Dominican University. He received his BA in studio art and anthropology from The University of
Virginia and his Master of Design degree from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of
Technology.
He is a Graphic Designer and textile artist. As
co-owner of FunQuilts, a contemporary design studio, his work has been featured in more than 60
publications including
The New York Times, Country Living, Metropolitan Home, and
TIME. He teaches Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Typography and Liberal Arts
Seminars.
Bill
lectures nationwide on quilts and design. He has a
special interest in community involvement, having spent two years as a Volunteer In Service To
America (VISTA) in Appalachia. He has also spent many years abroad teaching, studying and traveling
throughout Asia, Europe and Africa.
