Use of Media
All images, text and media provided through contentDM and this website are copyrighted by Dominican University. Reproduction of any of this material for commercial gain or for non-educational purposes without written permission from Dominican University is strictly prohibited.

Fair Use
The doctrine of fair use allows for limited use of copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. Fair use includes private research, scholarship, comment, criticism, and education. If you have any questions about the extent of fair use privileges, please feel free to contact the University.

Publication, use for profit and reproduction
It is your responsibility to verify any existing copyright or use restrictions for any material found in Dominican University’s collections. Publication, redistribution and use for profit all require prior written permission from the University.

Photographic and electronic reproduction services are also available. For each request, please provide us with the title of the material, as well as the ID # for each item. ID number can appear in either of two formats: for digital-born objects, the ID # will be a set of three four-digit numbers, with an x separating the first pair of four, and an underscore separating the second pair. (i.e. 1078x0005_3751); the second format is a string of numbers either six or seven digits, and ending in an x (i.e. 000128x).

Allow two to four weeks for material to be processed. On site pick-up is available; if on site pick-up is not an option, shipping and handling fees will apply.

Fees for these services and permissions are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the University for an estimate.

When using any material from our collection, we ask that you provide a citation, as seen in the following example:
