All graduate students in the Brennan School of Business are encouraged to meet regularly with their academic advisor, Assistant Dean Matt Quilty. Dean Quilty is available for in-person meetings on the main campus as well as telephone conferences by appointment both during the day and evenings, Monday through Friday.
While advising meetings are not mandatory for graduate students who remain in good academic standing, they are nevertheless encouraged. Dean Quilty can provide assistance with selecting courses for a particular semester and she can offer guidance regarding concentrations. Importantly, he can confirm the specific course requirements for your degree.
Graduate programs at the Brennan School of Business provide students with flexibility in terms of how many courses they take each semester. However, all students are expected to graduate within six years from the time they start. Thus, it is important to develop an initial plan for the completion of your degree and to review this plan periodically as you progress. Dean Quilty can assist you in developing this plan by offering guidance on course sequencing and the semesters in which particular elective courses will be offered.
Dean Quilty can be reached at mquilty@dom.edu or (708) 524-6507. His office is in Lewis 203.
