Dean's Letter

johnsonThe challenges of today’s business environment demand that aspiring and experienced business people have an ethics-centered, enduring foundation in business and leadership skills. That is exactly the type of education that the Brennan School of Business has been providing its students – at both the undergraduate and graduate levels – for more than 30 years. When we say that we are “educating the next generation of ethical business leaders,” it’s more than a slogan…it’s at the heart of what makes us distinctively Dominican.

Our faculty is comprised of highly qualified professionals who are passionately committed to excellent, rigorous instruction while never forgetting the importance of the relationships that bind people together. They ensure that students understand not only business theories but also the practical applications of the concepts being covered. They bring the material alive by leveraging their own significant experience in business.

We also seek to have an impact with integrity upon our students as well as the larger community through our signature programs, which include:

             • Our annual "Ethics and Leadership Lecture” series organized by our Christopher Chair in Business Ethics,
             • Our annual "Brennan Forum on Corporate Governance,"
             • Our Center for Economic Education,
             • Our Center for Global Peace through Commerce, and
             • Our Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp.

Whether you are looking for a degree that will enhance your entrepreneurial skills or one that will enhance your global perspective, our faculty and staff are ready to help you succeed. Perhaps the best way to understand this is to make an appointment to visit us – meet some of the faculty, observe a class and experience the Dominican difference.

I look forward to meeting you!
