Supporting Scholarships
Attending the performance or sponsoring the Benefit helps supports student scholarships. Proceeds
from the Benefit Concert directly support students, especially many first-generation to college
students. These students rely on scholarships to afford a Dominican education. Dominican University
awards more than 100 endowed scholarships and approximately 250 Presidential and Dean’s
scholarships annually. In fall 2010, 98 percent of all freshmen received some form of financial aid
with an average award of $17,570. For the 2010 - 2011 academic year, Dominican University will
award more than $16 million to students through scholarships and grants. These are more than just
numbers. Your donation supports real students with real needs.
