Athletics

Dominican University is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in Division III and a member of the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC).

Known as the Dominican University Stars, the university’s sports include baseball, soccer, basketball, cross country, tennis, golf, volleyball and softball. In 2010-2011, the Dominican University Department of Athletics had their most successful athletic campaign since joining NCAA Division III in 2000. The Stars won a NAC South Division Championship and two Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) championships and sent 10 teams to their respective conference tournaments. Dominican also had 68 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Scholar-Athletes.

Dominican University's athletics facilities include a new NCAA-regulation state-of-the-art, synthetic turf soccer field, the Igini Sports Forum–a 15,000-square-foot gymnasium that seats 1,200 and has a suspended running track–a racquetball court, a fitness center and a weight room.
