R & C Workshop Series - Polishing Your Research Presentation Series

Much as doing strong research work requires us to learn from the scholarship and example of our professors, we become far more able to create engaging presentations of that research when we consult with mentors who have had years to develop their style and craft. For that reason, the office of Research and Creativity has assembled some of Dominican's excellent faculty mentors to discuss how you might craft, refine, and polish your presentations.

We are delighted to  to sponsor the following three faculty-led workshops for all Dominican students.  Whether you will be presenting at the URSCI Expo, the Global Learning Symposium, or at a regional or national conference, or have no immediate conference ahead of you but would simply lik eto learn more, we invite you to attend one or all of our three workshops.

Mission

The mission of Global and Civic Engagement is to prepare students for lives of vigorous citizenship, informed exchange and just action with others both close to home and across cultural and national boundaries. The office seeks to empower students’ participation in “the creation of a more just and humane world,” by offering them opportunities for cultural engagement, public deliberation, civil debate and civic activity that make informed, even inspired, action for a just and humane world possible.

New and Developing Initiatives

Over the next few years, Global and Civic Engagement will expand its services to further welcome international students, increase domestic students’ opportunities for foreign study fellowships and provide all Dominican students with forums for cross-cultural exchanges, cultural expression, political advocacy and rigorous discussion of local, national and global matters of public concern. We invite everyone in the Dominican community to help us make the Global and Civic Engagement office a home for vital dialogue and public learning.
