Other Opportunities for Engagement

While many of the initiatives for Global and Civic Engagement are only now being developed, there are a number of offices throughout the University that are working to expand Dominican students’ global engagement and engage them in lives of compassionate service. The following are just a few of them.

International Student Advising welcomes students from across the globe and provides them with thorough guidance on how to remain in compliance with the University’s expectations and the requirements of federal law. Rosary College’s Study Abroad office encourages students to spend time outside U.S. borders in both Dominican professor-led travel courses and semester or full year study abroad programs in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe. The Office of Service Learning combines community service with academic instruction as it focuses on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility, locally and globally. The Center for Global Peace Through Commerce in the Brennan School of Business provides the Dominican Community with programming and activities that focus on how social and business entrepreneurship can work as a force for the global good.
